I had opportunity to Khow Sr, Gianfranca Silvestri, natural from Italy Verona.
Sr Gianfranca is 86 years old. God called her for missionary life to give herself for mission indifferent way in different please.
As she describes “my first love was Uganda”. She lived 27years in Ugada working in different places and with the different people.
She appreciates the people of Aruwa called Alur she carries this people in her heart and says “as I was working as nurse, I was working with local people.
When It was difficult moment of war I could leave the key with them that they could continue the work” She says “they are very hostable, united (There was no division between Cristian and Muslim) She continues, they could do all possible effort in order to help others.”
The mission of Sr Gianfranca continues, she was asked to follow the young girls who was interested in the missionary life.
Helping the young girls has helped her to develop the sense of belonging to the congregation and at the sometime it was a responsibility to keep alive and active the Combonian charism.
The time she was a provincial of south Sudan, It was an expected mission yet it was blessing She says “I never worked alone but always with sisters. Joyful moments and difficult moments were share among us”
