From the moment I felt the stirring within my heart, I knew I was destined to embark on a life of purpose as a missionary. It was this calling that led me to seek guidance from my aunt, a devoted sister of the St. Ann daughters. With her support, I found my way to the Comboni missionary sisters’ congregation, where my journey truly began.
As I reflect on my early experiences, I am humbled by the profound lessons I have learned. Despite being a postulant and having limited exposure to the mission, one truth has become abundantly clear – the Holy Spirit is the driving force behind it all. Guided by the charism of St. Daniel Comboni, I am filled with immense joy as I reach out to those who have been abandoned and forgotten.
Living a life dedicated to the service of God and faithfully following the charism comes with its own set of challenges. There are moments when I witness a lack of adherence to the teachings of our founder. Yet, I have come to realize that in order to overcome these obstacles, I must keep God at the center of my life.
Prayer has become my constant companion, nourishing my soul and strengthening my relationship with God. Through moments of personal adoration in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament and meditating upon His Word, I seek to listen to His divine guidance. It is my heartfelt desire to not only absorb His teachings but also put them into practice in every aspect of my life. Through God’s grace, I strive to grow personally, becoming a mature and integrated individual who can bring comfort and assistance to the poor and abandoned.
As a consecrated person, my ultimate aspiration is to surrender myself entirely to God and live in accordance with the profound charism bestowed upon us by St. Daniel Comboni. I fervently pray for an unwavering faith that will enable me to walk this path with unwavering fidelity.
