During his recent visit to Karak, King Abdullah presented the Kingdom’s Silver Jubilee Medal to individuals and institutions distinguished for their service to the local community. Among the honorees was the Italian Hospital, recognized for its long-standing commitment over the years that has left an indelible mark on society.
Sr. Alessandra Fumagalli, head of the hospital run by the Comboni Missionary Sisters, commented: “The people are overjoyed: Christians and Muslims have expressed their happiness for this recognition. The hospital belongs to them.”
The award represents an important acknowledgment of the work carried out by the Italian Hospital for the people of Karak. A service that goes beyond religious and cultural differences, uniting everyone in the name of health and solidarity.
